Sign a PDF — in your browser or on your iPhone

Open the PDF, place your signature, add the date, save. The file never leaves your device.

Free for 7 days, then $14.99 once — no subscription. After the trial you can still add one document a day for free.

How it works

  1. Open the web app (or the iPhone app) and choose Open a file — a PDF or a Word document.
  2. Tap Signature and draw it with your finger, mouse or trackpad. On iPhone you can also photograph a signature on paper; the background is removed.
  3. Drag it into place and resize it. Add the date or any text the form asks for.
  4. Save or export the signed PDF. Your signature is kept for next time.

Why Armadillo Scan

Nothing is uploaded

Signing happens on your device. There is no server holding your contract, lease or tax form.

No account

You don't sign up for anything to sign a document.

Word documents too

Open a .docx and it becomes a PDF you can sign straight away.

Flattened when saved

The signature becomes part of the page, so it can't be lifted off and reused by someone else.

Questions

Is it free to sign a PDF?

Every feature is free for 7 days. After that, signing is part of the one-time $14.99 unlock (no subscription), and you can still add one new document a day for free.

Is my document uploaded?

No. The web app keeps documents in your browser's own storage and the iPhone app keeps them on your phone. Nothing is sent to us.

Can I sign on my phone?

Yes — Armadillo Scan for iPhone does the same, and can also photograph your signature from paper and clean it up.
