Scan documents on iPhone into a clean PDF

Point the camera at a page: it's found, squared up and flattened, and the text becomes searchable.

Free for 7 days, then $14.99 once — no subscription. After the trial you can still add one document a day for free.

How it works

  1. Open Armadillo Scan and tap Scan. Choose One at a time to press the shutter yourself, or Automatic to let the camera fire.
  2. The page outline is detected live; the photo is cropped and squared to fill the page — even if you shot it at an angle.
  3. Review each page: retake it, adjust the crop, or switch between colour, greyscale and black & white.
  4. Save as a PDF in the app, or straight into a folder in Files or iCloud Drive.

Why Armadillo Scan

Curved pages flattened

Book pages and folded letters are flattened, not just straightened.

Searchable text

Real text recognition in the languages your iPhone uses.

Glare and shadows

Glare removal and colour modes make faded or yellowed pages readable.

Then finish the job

Sign, redact, merge or export without leaving the app.

Questions

Doesn't the iPhone already have a scanner?

The Notes app can scan, but it stops at the scan. Armadillo Scan also flattens curved pages, recognises text, signs, redacts, merges and keeps receipts as expenses.

Can I save to iCloud Drive?

Yes — choose any folder in Files or iCloud Drive, and the name it's saved under.

What does it cost?

Free for 7 days, then $14.99 once. After the trial, one scan a day stays free.
